6 Purpose of the teacher’s digital competences model and tool: self-analysis and professional development support tool for teachers and for their evaluation the basis for teacher training programs in the field of digital competencies complements the teacher qualification standards (part of digital competences) Effective teachers model and apply the ISTE Standards for Students as they: ●design, implement, and assess learning experiences to engage students and improve learning; ●enrich professional practice; ●and provide positive models for students, colleagues, and the community (ISTE Standard for Teachers).ISTE Standard for Teachers

9 Why 5 competece levels? Example. Connection with the lecturer´s competency model Levels 1 – 5 (1 is the lowest and 5 the highest) 3. MODEL DIGITAL AGE WORK AND LEARNING 3.1. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations 12345 Creates a user account in a web- based system and creates/uploads resources, uses common software/web environments/hard ware with the help of a user manual, uses presentation tools and a printer, saves/copies files to ecternal drive. Manages access rights to the resources published in the web. Solves independently the problems that occur during the use of ICT tools, using help, manual, FAQ or froums when needed; combines diferent tools; changes the settings of a web- based system. Transfers working methods from known web environment/softw are to an unknown environment. Chooses (compares, evaluates) the most suitable tool for a given task.
