51 51 Data Archival  Even if a map is edited by an Updating Authority, the earlier version is not over-written, the file is simply tagged as updated pending approval. Only when the Approval Authority puts his/her fingerprint and approves the change, the updated map is tagged as a final updated latest version  On mutation,, the old record also needs to be maintained for production in judicial/arbitration courts in case of future disputes as maps are a legal record.  VISION MapMaker supports Data Archival whereby every record of mutation is preserved  Software maintains complete version history and prohibits editing of older approved versions
