2 (I)COLD WAR: CUBA a.(1959) Fidel Castro leads a revolution which removes Cuban dictator Batista from power b.Castro nationalized American owned businesses (Cuban govt. took them over without compensation) c.Eisenhower ordered an embargo on Cuba d. Eisenhower Farewell Address: warns about the “military industrial complex” 1.
