4 Reference Materials Almanac * A book containing maps and other geographic information. Atlas* A book published each year that contains weather forecast, tide tables, sports, statistics. Dictionary* A set of books with articles containing information on a wide range of topics. Encyclopedia* A book listing word, how they are pronounced, and what they mean. Telephone Book *A book that lists the synonyms and antonyms  of words. Thesaurus * A book that lists the names, addresses, and phone numbers of people and businesses in the area.
