Career Research Project By: Naomi Schmidt

Acting/Modeling I would like to go for acting/modeling because I think it would be a fun job that is hands on and on your feet. Acting would be fun because for a period of time you get to jump into another persons shoes and live their life. Modeling seems like a blast because you get to travel for shows and I have a lot of interest in fashion and designers.

10 characteristics of acting & modeling Some values of acting and modeling would be freedom, maybe good money or fame, and art. Tasks and responsibilities take place in acting / modeling when you have to memorize lines, help out around the studio ; like set up, and getting dressed very fast. The work days are normally full of new experiences. This career normally has a pretty easy pace. This career has a mixture of physical and mental with remembering lines, and acting. Acting / modeling mainly works with other people. In order for me to like my work environment I would have to spend it with nice and well working people, also working indoors or outdoors doesn ’ t matter to me. I would prefer to work in the morning around 8-4 because this way I would have enough time for when I come home to do any others needs of mine. Also sometimes it might be nice to go out and this way ill have time. There aren ’ t many skills you need for modeling, but acting has a bit more. It is tuff being able to act as someone else and know what they are feeling also knowing the lines will be tuff to remember. Some types of education you must know for acting / modeling are mainly just theater and you would have to train to pose for modeling. Your salary really all depends on how well you do and how many shows you do. Also it depends on who hires you. This job will give you holiday time also. My career outlook in ten years hopefully will be in different places like California, LA. I would have many big decisions in this career like choosing to travel or not. This job will definitely have traveling a part of it but if I got to travel out of county would be a big deal. If I made it to that I would think I would be making good money.

If I go for acting/modeling my goal is to make it big, travel, and not only make good money, but be what the people want.

A location I would love to be is in California, LA. If I make it there I would be on the road to success.

This career would fall under being arts, A/V technology and communications.

WNBA PLAYER WNBA is a hands on career. It is a woman’s basketball team. It would be my dream to make it that big.

10 Characteristics Some values of participating in the WNBA would be being fit/active, I really care about being healthy and having fun. This career is mostly about health and fame. You have a few tasks and responsibilities along with being in the WNBA like eating healthy, practice every day for hours, and commit. The work days are normally repetitive but with practicing different thins every day. This is most defiantly a high pressure career with playing in front of big crowds and maybe on TV. This career is physical and mental. You have to know certain offence plays, and defensive plays and being able to run and staying active is a big part. You will be working with some equipment, and basketballs. Finding the right forms for to shoot and defend takes a large part in basketball. This working environment involves being with a whole team and coaches. Most of the time your team is working together and friendly. Working hours for basketball normally doesn’t run as long as any other job. It will normally run 2-6 hours long each practice. I would prefer to work in the morning. Basketball is mainly a physical career, it also involves mental for learning plays and the fundamentals. This career will normally need a past with basketball. For example playing for high school then leading up to college basketball will definitely help. Also getting trained is a huge help. If your just starting the least salary you would start off with would be around 38,000 but after about 6 seasons your salary can get up to around 107,000. After being in this business for ten years you would most likely be making a successful amount of money and also having a great time too. This career does include some traveling but only for games most of the time.

A good lifestyle goal would be making around 60-70 thousand dollars in your salary because that is a nice pay for a fun job. Also I would hope to live maybe in Colorado.

Like I said above a location I would like to live in would either be Colorado, or maybe Georgia.

This career would fall under mental and physical.

Personal Trainer A personal fitness trainer is almost like a coach. It is a professional instructing you the correct knowledge, skills and abilities for a safe and effective work out.

10 characteristics Some things I really care about is my health, and money. This career makes a decent amount salary and keeps you healthy. Some specific tasks that a personal trainer will being doing is working separately everyday with each client and instructing each person what to do. It is a little repetitive with working with a client each day but each client does a different work out. This career would most likely be a easy pace to keep up with. This work is both mental and physical because you have to have the correct knowledge on what to eat and what not to eat, safe and effective work outs, and what each client needs to improve. A personal trainer will mainly work with the equipment and the client. The gym (indoors) is the only place a personal trainer will work. There is other people you will work with just not when you are with a client, then you will probably be alone. There are no specific times when working this career. You set up appointments with each client and get paid per hour. This job will give you plenty of time to yourself. I am good at being physically active and making new friends/talking. To become a personal fitness trainer you would first have to become a fitness instructor and have good ‘people’ skills. A personal fitness trainer normally makes on an average about 55,000 a year. Also his job gives a lot of time to yourself. In ten years I don’t think this career will be much different then it is now. Maybe I would have many more clients and if I am really good I will have a lot of clients and make a lot of money. I think if and when I get married I will move where my husband wants then from there I would find a gym and get a job there. A personal fitness trainer can normally work anywhere but you have to be outgoing.

My goal for a personal fitness trainer is to have many clients and live somewhere nice.

Some where I would like to live would be mainly California but I can work with anything.

This career falls under Hostility and tourism.
