4. 4 © Red Lion Controls Inc. FlexBus Why do we need FlexBus?  The advantage is that FlexCards are not slot-specific like our existing option cards. This allows the FlexCards to be added to any open slot, and further expands the capability and flexibility of the controller. FlexBus Connectors

6. 6 © Red Lion Controls Inc. Heater Current Monitor FlexCard What is Heater Current Monitor?  The current of the heater is measured through a current transducer. The transducer output is connected to the HCM FlexCard inside the Controller. A display and/or alarm can be assigned to monitor the “health” of the heater and heater circuit, providing advanced warning of a short or open-circuit, and of heater degradation.

Actions could be as simple as a change in display color to direct mapping to a hard output for external control. 1 6 Soft Alarms Control outputs Currently the controller supports up to 4 hard outputs for external control. Those outputs could be in the form of relay, triac, or solid state.
