5  Shows:  receiver status  satellite location  satellite signal strength  receiver location.  Requires at least 3 satellites to collect data!

6  Useful when traveling long distances.  Shows:  Current speed  Average speed  Trip odometer  Elevation  Many more options…

7  GPS comes with built-in basemaps.  Can view your location, indicated by  Can view / select waypoints using rocker.

8  Provides navigational data and directions.  Useful when navigating to a location.

9  Allows access to remainder of GPS features/tools.  Main menu options:  Tracks  Routes  Highway  Setup  Proximity  Calendar  Calculator  Stopwatch  Sun & Moon  Hunt & Fish  Games

10  Waypoint – a location/landmark you record and store in your GPS.  Use the MARK key to quickly capture your location.

11  Tracks – a “bread crumb” trail or track log of the places you travel, viewable on the Map page.  Contains information about points along it’s path, including time, location and elevation.

12 To set up a track log: 1. Press MENU twice. 2. Select TRACKS icon and press ENTER. 3. Select SETUP and press ENTER. 4. Enter the following options: Red This will create track points after a specified amount of time has elapsed. The time interval for collecting track locations. 15 sec

13  To save a track log: 1. Press MENU twice. 2. Select TRACKS icon and press ENTER. 3. Select the SAVE button and press ENTER. 4. Select YES and press ENTER to save the entire track. 5. Rename the track if necessary.
