CORA ASR Gateway 20.0/ASOG 45 Release June, 2012

2 ASOG 45/CORA ASR Gateway – 20.0 Century Link will implement the ASOG Version 45 Industry Standard changes to the ASR forms and fields on September 17, 2012. These changes were decided upon at an industry level with participating members of the OBF Committees. For detailed information about the changes, refer to the ATIS website: http://www.atis.org/ http://www.atis.org/ In support of the release, Century Link will implement upfront validations in the CORA (Century Link Online Request Application) ASR Gateway impacting all ASRs being transmitted through CORA electronically via the web-based CORA GUI, or through direct connections, such as NDM or UOM interfaces.

New Fields ASOG 45

4 ASOG 45: BUM Field A new Broadcast, Unknown Unicast, and Multicast Option (BUM) field is being added to the Transport, End User Special Access, and Additional Circuit Information forms. Screen shots of these forms are included on slides 15-20. This field is not being used by Century Link.

5 ASOG 45: BI Field A Bundling Indicator (BI) field is being added to the Transport, End User Special Access, and Additional Circuit Information forms. Screen shots of these forms are included on slides 15-20. ASOG Valid Entry is “Y” ASOG Usage Note: Optional when the first position of the REQTYP field on the ASR Form is “S” (Transport or ACI form) or “E” (EUSA or ACI form), the EVCI field on the ASR Form is blank, the ACT field on the ASR Form is “N” or “C”, and the SECNCI field specifies an Ethernet switched port, otherwise prohibited Century Link is utilizing this field in CORA when it is a stand alone UNI and: The first position of the REQTYP field on the ASR Form is “S” (Transport or ACI form) or “E” (EUSA or ACI form) and The EVCI field on the ASR Form is blank and The ACT field on the ASR Form is “N” or “C” and The SECNCI field value is one of the following values indicating an Ethernet switched port: 04CX9.1CT 04CX9.10T 02CXF.1GE 08CX9.1GE 02CXF.10G 08QB9.1GE New CORA error messages: Transport, End User Special Access or ACI Form: “’Y’ is the only valid value” Transport Form: “Optional when REQTYP S, ACT N, EVCI blank, and SECNCI specifies Ethernet Switched Port, otherwise prohibited.” EUSA form: “Optional when REQTYP E, ACT N, EVCI blank, and SECNCI specifies Ethernet Switched Port, otherwise prohibited.”

6 ASOG 45: OTC Field A new Other Exchange Company (Terminating) (OTC) Field is being added to the Ethernet Virtual Connection Form for each UREF occurrence. See slide 10 and 11 for a screen shot of the new field. This field is not being used by Century Link.

7 ASOG 45: VACT New Customer Edge Virtual Location Area Network Activity Indicator (VACT) fields are being added. This field indicates the activity being requested for the CE-VLAN. See slide 10 and 11 for a screen shot of the new fields. ASOG Valid Entries are: N = New Used when adding a new CE-VLAN Used when changing a CE-VLAN assignment in conjunction with a VACT of “D” Not valid when UACT is “D” D = Disconnect Used when removing an existing CE-VLAN Used when changing a CE-VLAN assignment in conjunction with a VACT of “N” Not valid when UACT is “N” E = Retain Existing Used when reiterating an existing CE-VLAN to indicate the CE-VLAN is being retained Not valid when UACT is “N” or “D” When changing CE-VLAN values from one to another: UACT of C is populated VACT of “N” is used for the CE-VLAN value to be added VACT of “D” is used for the CE-VLAN value being removed.

8 ASOG 45: VACT cont. ASOG Usage Rules: This field is optional when the associated CE-VLAN field is populated. Century Link is requiring this field in CORA when: The first position of the REQTYP field on the ASR Form is “S” (Transport or ACI form) or “E” (EUSA or ACI form) and The EVCI field on the ASR Form is “B” and The SPEC field on the ASR Form is “SVCPRV” or “SVCMUX” and The CE_VLAN field is populated New CORA error messages: Ethernet Virtual Connection Form: “Required when CE-VLAN is populated” Ethernet Virtual Connection Form: “Prohibited when CE-VLAN is blank” Ethernet Virtual Connection Form: “VACT N is prohibited with UACT D” Ethernet Virtual Connection Form: “VACT D is prohibited with UACT N” Ethernet Virtual Connection Form: “VACT E is prohibited with UACT N or D” With this change, if an ASR is submitted in a version 44 format, and is SUP’d in version 45 format, customers are required to populated VACT on the SUP.

9 ASOG 45: CE-VLAN Changes The ASOG is changing the number of CE-VLAN fields from 14 to 10. With the addition of the VACT field, CORA will validate that ranges of CE-VLANs do not duplicate or overlap each other on the ASR. If they do, CORA will present a new error message: “Numbers in CE-VLAN fields cannot be duplicated or overlap.” The example below reflects a customer having a range of CE-VLANs 0001-0015 and wanting to remove CE-VLANs 0001-0005, keep CE-VLANs 0006-0008, and remove CE-VLANs 0009-0015. Valid entries on the form for this scenario: VACT D CE-VLANs 0001-0005 VACT E CE-VLANs 0006-0008 VACT D CE-VLANs 0009-0015 Invalid entries on the form for this scenario: VACT D with CE-VLANs 0001-0015 VACT E with CE-VLANs 0006-0008 Additionally, the layout of the CORA GUI version of the Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVC), the Confirmation Notice (FOC) forms, and the “paper” form are being reformatted. See the screen shots on the few next slides.

11 ASOG 45: EVC Screen CORA GUI

12 ASOG 45: CN Form A screen shot of the CORA GUI is not available at this time

13 ASOG 45: ES and PROFE The existing PROFI (Profile Ingress) and PROFE (Profile Egress) fields on the Transport (TRANS), End User Special Access (EUSA), and Additional Circuit Information (ACI) forms are being expanded from 25 to 30 characters in length. As a result, the layout of the corresponding ASOG “paper” forms and the CORA GUI are changing. See slides 15-20 for changes. CenturyLink will now be using the ES and PROFE field in conjunction with the BI field (slide 5) allowing customers to order Level of Service at the UNI Level for Metro Ethernet. ES (Egress Scheduler) Field: Valid Entries: S = Single (Per UNI/NNI Profile) With an entry of “S”, the bandwidth ordered is at the UNI level, all associated EVCs will share the UNI bandwidth M = Multiple (Per EVC Profile) With an entry of “M”, the bandwidth is ordered at the EVC level, all associated EVCs will have an independent bandwidth profile New CORA edit messages for ES Field are: Optional when REQTYP is S or E, ACT = N, EVCI is blank, and the SECNCI specifies Ethernet Switched Port Optional when REQTYP is S or E, ACT = N, EVCI is B Prohibited if REQTYP is not E or S

14 ASOG 45: ES and PROFE cont. PROFE (Profile Egress) Field is a free flow text field where customers should identify the following information as it applies to the UNI: Bandwidth Default DSCP Template information EXAMPLE: “Default Best Effort” CORA Specific edit: PROFE field required when ES = S At this time, CenturyLink is not using the PROFI field. If data is populated in this field, it will be ignored. This field will be prohibited (grayed out) in the CORA GUI.

CORA 20.0 Edits and Enhancements CORA 20.0

22 CORA 20.0: Forbearance Validator CORA has been rejecting ASRs indicating an invalid PNUM value (contract number) is provided. The look up was being done against the CCNA and should be done against the ACNA. This is being fixed with CORA 20.0.

23 CORA 20.0: PSL Validation Changes CORA is adding the TQ field on the ASR form and the DIR field in the Common Matrix on the Translations Questionnaire (TQ) Form. The current edit looks at the CLLI codes in the PSL and CSL fields for valid entries on Switched Services ASRs. CORA will also determine: If the first position of the TQ field is “W” If the first occurrence of the TQ Common Language Matrix DIR Row is “1T” If these conditions are true and the CLLIs are valid, the ASR will not be rejected. Additionally, the validation is being enhanced to accept or reject appropriately when the PSL CLLI Code is for a Remote when: The REQTYP is M The ACT is N or C The ASR is not a SUP

24 CORA 20.0: CSPC Validation on ACT D The CORA CSPC Validation is being enhanced to accurately compare the CSPC information provided against the billing records.

25 CORA 20.0: Primary Identifier SALI Form. CORA is enhancing edits for the PI field on the SALI form to accurately reflect the Primary Location address. Non-GUI ASRs will be rejected when the PI field associated to the Secondary Service Address Location Information form is populated. The error message is: PI: Prohibited for the Secondary Service Address Location Information Non-GUI ASRs where the EUSA.PRILOC is populated with "E" and the PI field is not populated will be rejected. The error message is: PI: Required when the first position of the PRILOC field is “E” CORA GUI will not allow users to populate the PI field on the Secondary Service Address Location Information form/screen (grayed out). CORA GUI will automatically populate the PI field on the Primary Service Address Location Information form/screen when the PRILOC field on the End User Special Access form/screen (REQTYP = E) is populated with an "E".

26 CORA 20.0: GUI PDF File Font Color The font color on the CORA GUI PDF files for customer input data is being changed from light green to bold darker color allowing customers printing the PDF on a black and white printer to see the fields more easily. A screen capture is not yet available.

27 CORA 20.0: Stop ASRs for Non-Payment Currently when a customer’s order activity is stopped for non- payment, the customer is allowed to submit the ASR, then it is manually rejected in the Wholesale Service Delivery Center. With CORA 20.0 this reject will occur at ASR Submission for all REQTYPs. CORA will allow customers to submit ASRs with ACT of D or a SUP 1 to cancel on any pending ASR. New CORA error message: “Account activity has been suspended. Please contact your Billing Representative with any questions.”
