Aim:  to support the development of innovative models of therapeutic and holistic mental health support in schools.  for children and young people aged 5 – 13 at risk of, or experiencing, mental health problems and their families. Programmes to build on the foundations of universal approaches. Targeted Mental Health in Schools Programme (TaMHS)

3 The TaMHS model - strategic The TaMHS model - strategic Each mental health project will be part of local integrated working arrangements, planned strategically, using CAF and implementing a lead professional model of working CAMHS Strategic Partnership Primary Secondary Primary Frontline Practitioners delivering mental health projects Working where possible as part of a multi-agency team Drawn from CAMHS, social care, family support, behaviour support, voluntary sector etc Have skills to work with and in schools to improve their capacity to promote children’s mental health and address problems. Likely to involve delivering staff training, supporting whole school development and some direct work with children and parents/carers Each mental health project will be part of local integrated working arrangements, planned strategically, using CAF and implementing a lead professional model of working
