Guiding principles for conduct Respect at all times Travelers on this trip will conduct themselves with the highest standards of behavior. Behaviors which endanger others or himself/herself will be met with consequence The Berkley School District employee is in charge of his/her group. Issues between travelers should be immediately reported to one of the BSD employees.

Guiding principles - continue Stay with the tour group. For free time – stay with your group and with your adult leader. Only exception to this are the two students with their parents. Hotel – in your room and lights out times should be adhered to. Students will need sleep. We will be BUSY. When we are back at the hotel, we are back at the hotel. If you want to go out for any reason, an adult must accompany you. No exceptions. This is a DRUG/ALCOHOL FREE trip. Do not pack these things. Do not attempt to purchase these things. Tour guides will have lots to say. Polite listening is a good thing. HAVE FUN!

Consequences for misbehavior Hopefully a simple redirect will be fine. If not: Tour quarantine – you sit on the bus/shuttles with me while the remainder of the group see sites/enjoys the trip. Multiple issues or one major issue – EF tours will arrange for a flight home at parent expense. I have heard great things about the students on this list and expect no problems. However, these things need to be said just in case.

Money Tipping is highly recommended – Comes out to about $10 per day or $60 total for the week (US currency). I can pre-collect this and take care of all this so students don’t have to worry. $6 per day for group tour guide $3 per day for site guides/breakfast service/dinner service $1 per day for shuttle driver – If tipping is something that cannot be afforded or you will be refusing to do, please let me know immediately. – This occurs on just about every international trip. The tipped jobs are service jobs and these folks go above and beyond to ensure safety, security, and an enjoyable trip – particularly the group tour guide who is with us 24/7 for the week.

Money continued Lunch – about $15/day Dinner and Breakfasts are ALL taken care of already. Minimum suggestion is about $25/day total. Students should have a little more if souvenirs or other items are on their/your agenda. London Eye ~ $40

Holidays are coming up! Good gift items – Voltage converter and adapters – Flight pillow – Boots/walking shoes – Umbrella that fits in a suitcase/rain gear – Luggage – Camera – Books for the plane ride – Miscellaneous Travel gear
