2.  INTO Learning PLC’s use ‘Edmodo’ as a platform for sharing and discussion among members  Edmodo describes itself as “Secure social learning network for teachers and students”  It has been described as a ‘Facebook for Education’ 

3.  Establish which PLC you are interested in by checking the upcoming schedule on www.intolearning.ie, Professional Communities www.intolearning.ie  Contact ljohnston@into.ie to register interestljohnston@into.ie  Optional – Check out Edmodo on www.edmodo.com www.edmodo.com

4. When you are sent your group entry code shortly before your group is due to open go to www.edmodo.com www.edmodo.com Follow the steps outlined in the next slides

5. Click on ‘I’m a Student’.

6. Enter your group code (from INTO Learning) a username, a password and your details.

7.  You will be brought to the home page of your PLC which is where comments and resources are posted

8.  Your facilitator will advise you on how to get the best from the interactive discussion and posting opportunities in Edmodo  He/she will interact on the forum each day through the posting of ideas/resources and through responding to forum discussion threads
