1 Airports of Montenegro

2 General informations  Airports of Montenegro is a public enterprise established by the Government of the Republic of Montenegro in 1999.  Two international airports (Podgorica and Tivat).

3 Technical characteristics Podgorica International Airport (TDG):  Has a single runway which is 2,500m in length long and 45m wide;  The taxiways at Podgorica airport are, for the most part, 15m wide;  Capacity:1.000.000 pax/year.  The footprint of the existing terminal is approximately 5,500m2;  The cargo facilities are located south of the fuelling station and the main landside access road;  The remote technical apron areas are accessed from taxiway Papa, providing approximately 18,000m2 apron areas;

4 Technical characteristics Tivat International Airport (TIV):  Has a single runway which is 2,500m in length long and 45m wide;  The passenger apron is approximately 25,000m2 with self manoeuvre parking for six Code C and one Code D aircraft;  The taxiway widths are 25m and 20m respectively;  Capacity:1.000.000 pax/year.  The terminal at Tivat was completely refurbished in 2006 and has a total internal area of approximately 4,050m2;

5 Aircraft and passenger traffic  Number of aircraft and passengers permanently increase in last years, despite global economic crisis.  In 2011 record number of passengers is served on Podgorica and Tivat airports (1.258.835 passengers).

6 Airports of Montenegro Master Plan  Sets out a physical development strategy for Podgorica and Tivat airports for the period 2011to 2030 with sequenced improvements to capacity and service quality in response to forecast demand;  The document outlines a long range, orderly direction for development which will yield a safe, efficient, economical and environmentally acceptable airport system for Montenegro. It provides a two phased outline for development and gives Airports of Montenegro and government advance notice of pending needs to aid future policy formulation, budgeting and integration;  Master plan define projects for two periods: short term period (until 2017) and long term period (2017-2030).

7 Master plan projects In short term and long term periods will be necessary to develop following projects at both airports:  Extension of runway;  Increase capacity of passengers terminals;  Increase apron capacity;  New parking positions for general aviation;  Taxiway widening;  Relocation of fuel interceptors (incl. tanks);  Expansion of air cargo facilities;  New car parking positions and Supporting Facilities (hotel, offices, etc.)

8 Financing of Master plan projects Podgorica Airport  Short time period - 39.956.700 euro;  Long term period - 47.860.325 euro; In total: 87.817.025 euro. In total: 87.817.025 euro. Tivat Airport  Short time period - 22.635.836 euro;  Long term period – 53.416.050 euro; In total: 76.051.886 euro. In total: 76.051.886 euro.

11 Berane Airport Total Start up Passenger Potential: 35.000 pax/year; Berane Catchment Area Population: 170.000 (including neighbor cities); Coverage Area, Country’s North Region; Distance to Country’s Existing Operational Airports;  Podgorica Int. Airport: 145 km (driving distance);  Tivat Int. Airport: 230 km (driving distance);  Foreseen Investment Amount: Euro 15.000.000.

12 Legal framework in the civil aviation area between Montenegro and Republic of Turkey  Air Services Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Turkey (ASA);  Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey on Cooperation in Enhancing Cooperation in Civil Aviation Infrastructure and Industry - enhance the cooperation in this field by attracting investors interested to invest in the realization of joint development projects at the airports of Podgorica and Tivat, airport Berane, as well as the national air carrier Montenegro Airlines (signed on 14 March 2012).
