3. Design Brief This was our first time to design a truss bridge. We are going to design a steel bridge for the given specification and situation by the software WEST POINT BRIDGE DESIGNER 2004

4. What have we learned? We spend 40 hours to work out the solutions of the project. We are able to 1. use the basic engineering knowledge to evaluate a bridge design 2. design a virtual bridge by the West Point Software 3. produce a 3-min PowerPoint file for oral presentation 4. develop collaborative skills

5. Software Brief This software will introduce you to engineering through an authentic, hands-on design experience. WPBD 2004 provides you with the tools to model, test, and optimize a steel highway bridge, based on realistic specifications, constraints, and performance criteria.
