2 USC Emeriti Center (EC) Mission The USC Emeriti Center supports USC faculty and staff retirees and pre-retirees in living healthy and purposeful lives by providing opportunities for continued teaching, service, research and learning. Motto Colleagues for Life web: emeriti.usc.edu

3 USC Emeriti Center (EC) We support interdisciplinary, intergenerational, and multicultural programs and activities for the entire Trojan Family and greater community. web: emeriti.usc.edu Our URC 103 location is home for both leadership entities at USC: the Academic Senate and Staff Assembly.

4 Who We Are A Division of the Provost’s Office Since 1978 Serving all USC retired faculty, staff and pre-retirees at no cost The Emeriti College is part of the Emeriti Center Support two membership organizations: Retired Faculty Association(RFA) Staff Retirement Association (SRA) The EC serves as the corporate office for the non-profit: Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE.org)

14 The Emeriti College schedules presentations annually. Lectures, workshops, performances are available for alumni groups, schools, business associations, churches, and senior centers. 15 $2K to $4K annually for retiree research Employs USC students to support faculty research and publication Student Outreach Intergenerational discussions and dinner with students, retiredand active faculty and staff Mentoring Research Grants & Mentoring Students Research Grants USC Emeriti College

21 National and International Leadership USC wins the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Faculty Career Flexibility – Recognizing Best Practices - $100,000 grantAlfred P. Sloan Award AROHEAROHE survey data indicates that USC leads the nation with each of the oldest and most comprehensive retiree centers (that supports an Emeriti Colleges, Retired Faculty Association, and Staff Retirement Association) USC was represented at the National Academy of Sciences COSEUP workshop - Sept. 2013 COSEUP workshop USC Keynote speaker in Taipei March 2014
