Day 1: Draw Up a Business Plan ●To start my business my initial investment will be about 25,000 dollars (the minimum) ●I will be getting this money from a bank or union for a small business loan ●To start the business I will need shop equipment and furniture, sanitary supplies, tattoo machines(coil/rotary), tattoo ink, medical supplies, aftercare, power supplies, disposable tubes, tattoo needles, tattoo stencil machine, printer, computer, piercing supplies, and piercing jewelry. ●The number of employees I need to hire to start my business will be three professional state certified tattoo artists, one professional certified piercer, and an intern

Draw Up a Business Plan Continued...

Day 2: Study the Market My costumers will be the individuals who desire to physically change their appearance with tattoos, piercings, ect, to appeal to a more alternative lifestyle and aesthetic. My competition will be another tattoo or piercing shops around the Perth Amboy area if there is any. My service is unique from other competition because it will have certified professional artists that vary in style, technique, ethnicity, and personality to make the customers feel more comfortable and at home. We will have an extremely sanitary and family friendly work environment for all. Government regulations include being inspected for sanitation in the working area. I will need a tattooing license in order to operate my business which states I am legally able to tattoo and that I have learned about skin diseases and bloodborne diseases.

Study the Market Continued... I will advertise my service through business cards, online, social media, and friends.

Day 3: Build Your Brand Example of business cards

Build Your Brand Continued... ●We will use social media such as instagram to get our brand name known to the public.

Day 4: Incorporate Your Business I will use a lawyer to help me with paperwork that have to do with legal matters due to the subject matter of my business.

Day 5: Set Up a Lean Machine Depending on the size of tattoo, placement, and complexity the cost will vary. The same rule applies to piercings; the placement will determine the price Small TattooModerate Tattoo Large Tattoo

Day 7: Work With the Media I will promote my business by making the consumers/ buyers more interested in our service by being unique and standing out from the rest of the competition with visuals, sanitation, reliability, and an open mind. ● I will use social media to upload online portfolios so customers can see our skills in the field. We can also collaborate with different artists and have them visit our shop as a one of a time experience only our customers and crew can have.

Day 8: Fake It To Make It We will talk with friends, acquaintances, and through social media to tell people we are a reliable and popular business to go to. Therefor future customers will like to get tattooed or pierced by one of our professionals in the field of body modification.

Day 9: Work In and Out Your Business I will dedicate 40 working hours to my business, other employes will work a similar amount of time. Some artists will work during weekends and other will not. Training an intern on a daily basis will start off with the most important factor; learning about sanitation in the work area. Afterwards the intern can work with other artists, this can take up to two years to accomplish. Working hours may interfere with my daily life at home, some tattoos take longer to complete, therefor making it possible for the tattoo parlor to be closed after original closing time.

Work In and Out Your Business Continued...

Day 10: Throw a Launch Party I will hold a launch party after opening my business for about a week. I will invite past co workers, friends, and mutuals to celebrate the opening but to also spread awareness of our service in order to try and get customers. I will collaborate possibly with another tattoo parlor in order to be promoted by them so others know we are trusted and professionals in the field of body modification. I will not alert the media. The focus of the launch party will be introducing the artists and workers, celebrating our work and accomplishments along with the discussion of prices and look of our shop.

Throw a Launch Party Continued... ●Every guest will receive a gift bag with business cards, “thank you” letters and their very own unique mini art piece in the bag. Foods, and drinks will be provided and the music will be classical rock, along with hardcore rock or acoustics.
