2 ITINERARY – April 6th April 13th 2014 09:00 pick up at Sackville School, arrival 5 minutes prior to this would be advisable 09:20 Depart Stansted on flight EZ3245 (no meal provided) 16:00 Arrive at Ljubljana, Slovenia Meal will be provided upon arrival at the resort After meal – Students will be taken for fittings and collection of their ski equipment

3 Sunday 7th April – 12th April 08.30 Breakfast will be taken at the hotel 10.00 Morning ski lessons start 12.00 Morning ski lessons end 12.00 – 13:00 Lunch on the slopes 13.00 Afternoon lessons start 15.00 Afternoon lessons end Supervised skiing option Dinner Evening activity

4 Sunday 13th April 08.30 Breakfast in the hotel 12.00 Depart hotel for Ljubljana 16.35 Depart Ljubljana airport (EZ3246) 17.45 Arrive Stansted Please check airport information for updates on flight arrivals. Students will be dropped off at Sackville at APX 19:15

5 Activities during the day Skiing lessons daily for 4 hours We have been allocated three instructors exclusively for our school and students will be put in one of these groups depending on their ability

6 Activities during the day 3 groups APX 10 students per group Students must be of an equal ability to ensure maximum enjoyment is had by all No individual lessons will be possible as we wish to stay together as a school Supervised skiing after 15:00

7 Activities during the evening Skeleton bob Year 11 revision Bowling Quiz Disco Table tennis DVD (suitable age restrictions apply)

9 What Students will need Passport and European Health Insurance Card (formerly known as E111) Spending money Packed lunch for plane Some form of entertainment Small pillow Travel sickness tablets/medication Suitable clothing and comfortable shoes TOWELS

10 Personal Possessions Valuables – Jewellery, ipad, PSP etc. These items are brought at your own risk, rooms may not always be locked! Mobile phones – if brought should only be used for emergencies due to cost. Possibly texting home is a better option Disable data roaming!

11 Money Most costs will be covered and all meals are provided. Spending money will only be needed for items such as snacks on the slope, gifts (for generous parents) or some evening activities

12 Money Currency = Euro Quantity = £100 which will get you €120 Put money in sealed envelopes with your child's name, plus the day and date you wish us to hand it to them on

13 Money If a student chooses not to hand their money to a member of staff and looses it, there is little we can do!

14 Getting to the airport We will be travelling from Sackville on the B245 and will join the A21 North. At junction 5 we will join the M25 and will travel anti clock wise until we join the M11

16 The Route Ljubljana privately chartered coach to Austria journey time apx 3 hours

17 Supervision Students will be under the supervision of qualified instructors and our team at all times. There will not be the opportunity to do free skiing, but there maybe an opportunity to ski with the teachers.

18 The team Mr Perry (Party Leader) Mrs Cox (Thinks she’s in charge) Miss Boyden (Style director & Piste photography) Mr Barham (First Aid, Activities) Miss De’Ath (Sports Science & nutritional expert) Chris Hitch (Chief interpreter)

19 Supervision In the evenings students will be have free time prior to their evening meal, but will not be allowed to leave to hotel unless permission is given by the party leader. Students must only go in groups of three or more

20 Supervision Evening activities will also be supervised. Risk assessments and insurance is covered for all activities.

21 Room allocation Whilst every effort will be made to ensure students share rooms with their friends the final decision on room allocation will decided by the party leader. Rooms sizes vary and accommodate 4 - 6 Students are not allowed to leave their rooms once curfew has been made. Curfew will be at the discretion of the teachers

22 What parents need to do by end of the meeting Ensure a copy of your sons passport and European Health Card (E111) has been provided Ensure the conditions of acceptance form has been signed Take a copy of this presentation

23 Behaviour We are ambassadors for the school Appropriate language Appropriate respect Follow instructions for your own safety Poor behaviour will result in phone calls home

24 Medication We must be informed of all medical requirements and conditions, of any medicines your child is taking with him and when and how often they need to take them Mrs Cox will contact you directly if you have you have highlighted this on your form

25 Equipment The following must be worn at all times when skiing/boarding: Sun screen - essential Helmet - essential Gloves – essential Sunglasses or goggles - essential Other protection e.g. impact shorts, wrist guards There will be an additional surcharge to bring your own equipment. Please let me know if you intend to do this, it can be very expensive if not pre-booked!

27 Hoodies Trip hoodies are being designed by our style director and we need to know size details. There will be an additional £20 charge for the hoodie, but you can of course opt out
