2 Q1: Silk Roads Launches Ideas… Europe experienced revival of trade during late Middle Ages Most notable example of return of long-distance trade was reopening of Silk Roads Silk Roads were ancient trade routes that connected Europe with China

3 Q2: Renaissance Moves North In late 1400s war in kingdoms of Italy drove Italian artists north, sharing new styles, ideas, techniques with northern Europe Renaissance ideas began spreading north from Italy to France, Germany, Spain, England, etc

4 Q3: English Renaissance Famous writer William Shakespeare from English Renaissance Author of Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and other plays Wrote plays to entertain Queen Elizabeth of England
