I am originally from Connecticut I obtained an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Connecticut I completed the Graduate Elementary Teacher Certification Program at Central Connecticut State University I ‘ve taught 3 rd(CT) and 5 th(NY) grade out of state. I received my Masters Degree in Reading Education from SUNY Oswego I am currently hold a Level II PA Elementary K-6 I am a certified Reading Specialist in the states of CT., NY., and PA. This is my sixth year teaching 2 nd grade and my 12 th year total. Meet the Teacher

6. Word Study Students will be given new words every Monday. They will keep a set of the week’s words at home along with a set at school. Their weekly Word Study homework assignments are clipped in their Home/School Binder. Word Study Homework is due on Fridays. Daily Classroom Word Study Activities

7. Math Everyday Math Curriculum. Homelinks (HL) homework assigned usually every MON.-THURS. Tear out page the night before. Students pass in the next day. Rocket Math to practice basic math facts Please be sure to take a Rocket Math Rubric home with you. EDM website. Login info in front inside cover of planners.

9. Social Studies We will be learning about… *United States History Which people have made important contributions to United States history? What is the significance of the United States Flag, Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, White House and National Monuments? *Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship What are the responsibilities of a citizen? What rights do citizens have? Why do we need rules and laws? *Basic Geography Literacy What is a continent? Why do we need maps? What is a geographic tool?
