8 Shadows and Highlights Shadows Use a base five shades darker than foundation Never use gray Take into account the skin tone Highlighting Use a base five shades lighter than the foundation Use to emphasize parts of the face

9 The Six Steps to Makeup Step Three: Rouge and Lipstick Apply moist rouge to cheeks and lips Place the moist rouge where it will help shape your face to that of your character

10 Rouge and Lipstick Rouge Oval face: apply in crescent shape Round face: blend along the cheekbone Long face: place high on the cheekbone Lipstick Apply with the little finger Use lipstick brush if lips are altered Should be blocked out by covering edges w/ foundation Outline lips with darker red, brown, or black Lower lip should receive a slightly lighter shade

20 Aging Makeup Application Step 1: Apply a sallow skin color (2 shades lighter than your original skin color). Then apply highlight the forehead creating a semi circle near the hairline.

21 Step 2: Highlight the eyebrows, side of forehead, under the eys, nose and chin.
