3 Representations Do media texts present reality?  The media do not present reality. Instead they present a selection of reality  The media version is not a presentation but a re- presentation

4 Do media texts represent reality?  TV, film, magazines, radio all present a mediated construction of the real world.  Media texts re present the world to us.

5 Do media texts represent reality?  The media represents people, places, things, ideas and situations through a process of selection and construction
