Wells What was different about the French and Indian when compared to the three previous wars between France and Great Britain? The previous three wars started in Europe and spilled over into the colonies. The French and Indian War started in the colonies and then spilled over into Europe. Have you ever thought that a rule was unfair? How did you react to the rule? Why would some American colonists have wanted to support Britain despite the harsh policies Britain invoked? Answers will vary, students should include the ideas that these colonists may not have felt Britain was being unfair. Additionally they had strong ties with Britain and perhaps did not want to engage in any military actions Knowing what you now know of the Boston Massacre, why do you think that it was called a massacre? Answers may very, but the gist of it is to incite other colonists to action. Why would some American colonists have wanted to support Britain despite the harsh policies Britain invoked? Answers will vary, students should include the ideas that these colonists may not have felt Britain was being unfair.
