Health Trooper Badge Programme Leaders’ Guide 2011

What is the Health Trooper Badge Programme? The Health Trooper Badge Programme is a new badge programme offered exclusively at HealthZone. It replaces its predecessor, the Healthy Lifestyle Badge Programme. The Health Trooper Badge Programme is offered to Brownies and Girl Guides with the aim of empowering primary and secondary school students with essential knowledge and life skills to leading healthier lives. The Badge Programme differentiates itself from others by adopting a student- centered learning approach. It empowers the student with the choice of his/her learning track and puts active learning into focus. The new Health Trooper Badge Programme is also tiered for varying levels of difficulty. This challenges the learning spirit of students and enables them to collect an array of prestigious and exclusive badges.

How would my students benefit from this programme? At each level of the Health Trooper Badge Programme, students learn new knowledge and skills on a variety of health topics and sub-topics. These topics and sub-topics are carefully selected to ensure that they are pertinently relevant to the corresponding learning interests and ability of the students. Students will not only be empowered with new knowledge and skills but will also learn to take the responsibility of learning into their own hands. The programme helps develop active learners. Students are also rewarded with the unique badges we have designed for each level of the programme.

What is the structure of the programme? PRIMARY LEVEL The Junior Health Trooper Badge is a pre-requisite for the Star Health Trooper Badge.

What is the structure of the programme? SECONDARY LEVEL The Dynamite Health Trooper Badge is a pre-requisite for the Warrior Health Trooper Badge. The Warrior Health Trooper Badge is a pre-requisite for the Supreme Health Trooper Badge.
