Health Coaching ALL starts with Behavior Change on a daily basis.

3 What is Living Healthy? Wellness is the quality or state of being in good health, especially as an actively sought goal. Wellness is the condition of good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health - especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise, and life habits. Wellness is the mastery of one’s wellbeing - through regular practice of healthful behaviors.

4 What is Health Coaching? Health Coaching teaches you how to maintain harmony in the areas of weight, lifestyle, relationships, career, work, and health issues, all so that you are physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy in your personal and professional lives.

5 Mindfulness As coaches, we can facilitate the development of mindfulness by getting clients to pay attention to their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and environments on a daily basis. Without mindfulness behaviors we have no chance of creating and sustaining behavior change.

6 Relationships As employees it is essential that you build solid relationships with your co-workers, supervisors, and customers, all while maintaining healthy personal relationships both inside and outside of the workplace.

7 Disease Prevention You can’t cure your body without curing your mind. When we get sick we are unable to completely heal our physical body without tending to the needs of our mind that is filled with fear, worry, and everyday stresses.

9 Achieving Sustained High Performance Requires that Leaders & Employees Increase their Energy Capacity in Four Dimensions.

10 TRAIN PHYSICALLY The healthier you are physically, the more engaged you will be, and the better you will perform at work. The physical dimension of energy is our fundamental source of fuel for performance, even if our work is sedentary. It not only lies at the heart of alertness and vitality, but also affects our ability to manage our emotions, sustain concentration, think creatively, and even maintain our commitment to what matters most.

11 TRAIN EMOTIONALLY To keep confidence, to control fear and anger, to be hopeful and optimistic, to get along with co- workers, to stay engaged emotionally. The emotional dimension of energy can transform threats into challenges when positive, or evoke anxiety, frustration and defensiveness when negative. Emotional intelligence is simply the capacity to manage emotions skillfully in the service of highly positive energy.

12 TRAIN MENTALLY To maintain focus and concentration, solid mental preparation, critical thinking, positive thinking, and visualization. Nothing interferes with performance as the inability to concentrate on the task at hand. To perform at our best, even under extreme pressure, we must be able to sustain concentration, and move flexibly between broad and narrow, as well as internal and external focus.

13 TRAIN SPIRITUALLY To recruit team spirit, honesty, integrity, respect for others, extending beyond self-interest. To be more engaged in your work and to perform better under pressure, your life and energy investments need to be in alignment with your ultimate destination/purpose. We define “spiritual” not in a religious sense, but as a connection to a deeply held set of values and to a purpose beyond our own self-interest.
