4. Birds and Dinosaurs Some scientists believe that modern day birds evolved from a branch of dinosaurs called theropods. This branch includes the T-rex!!! Can you spot the similarities?

5. Evolution Using the fossil period scientists can observe gradual changes in organisms over time. These change seem to indicate that lobed finned fish evolved into amphibians.

These genes carry information such as where the head is located. They can can be transplanted from a chicken to a fly and still function correctly.
