3 Location The Chickasaw lived in Northwest Alabama.

4 Houses Indians made their houses out of feathers and branches.

5 Food They ate corn, chicken, and fish.

6 Clothing--shoes The wore moccasins to cover their feet They also used them for their kid’s feet too. Moccasins were used a lot. This is a picture of moccasins.

7 Clothing Chickasaw men usually shave their head except a single scraplock and sometimes they would wear a hair roach. They were made out of porcupine hair. Chickasaw women just put their hair up on top of their heads with strings of beads. This is a hair roach.

8 Language Mountain lion =kowishto' Most Chickasaw people speak English. Most of them understand it. They also have their own Chickasaw language.

9 Traditions in Tools Chickasaw hunters used bow and arrows. Fishermen used fishing spears too. In war, Chickasaw men fired bows or fought with tomahawks. Chickasaw warriors sometimes set arrows on fire before shooting them.
