6  A procedure is a way to complete a task.  To complete actions correctly, we have to follow some simple procedures, for example:  To arrive at school on time, you need to set your alarm.  To be sure you are prepared for school, you need to pack your backpack the night before class.  In order to be successful in learning, you need to follow some simple procedures.

7  Make sure you have all necessary materials for the class.  Enter the classroom appropriately  Go directly to your seat.  Get ready for your work.

8  Immediately start the Warm Up (W.U.) posted for that day.  When you finish, wait quietly for the next direction

9  Read and/or listen to directions.  Ask questions.  Offer your best suggestions politely and kindly.  Maintain small-group voices while working with peers.  Respect each other and be friendly.  Use your time wisely. Put forth your best effort to finish your work on time.

10  Check your work and the directions one more time to see if you missed anything or did something incorrectly.  If the assignment is to be turned in, do so.  READ, READ, READ.

12  Team building activity  Take out a sheet of paper. In writing answer the following:  What is a metaphor?  Explain today’s group building activity and how it is a metaphor.

13  Get into groups of 4  Start with whoever’s birthday is coming up first  Share your three facts  Guess which is the lie!

15  Clean your work area and take all garbage to the trash can.  Wait for me to say goodbye! The ring of the bell does not always dismiss you.  After you receive permission to leave, be sure the desks are neatly aligned in rows.  Take a positive attitude with you to your next class.

16  Take out name tent  Pick up Rubric from front table. Look it over. Prepare any questions you have about the Literacy Autobiography

18  From home, check Schoolwires for the missed work.  When you return, get any handouts from the folders by the front door.  If you missed a test because of an excused absence, inform Mrs E. and arrange a time to make up the test during the week you missed school.

19  Bell work, handouts  Date each entry.  Your 2PN will be checked from time to time.  Take good care of your 2PN.  GRADED ASSIGNMENTS-will stay in a folder here in the classroom.
