6 KEES SCHOLARSHIP Weighted GPA is used for calculation of GPA. GPA is calculated for each school year. There is a bonus amount for highest ACT test score taken in High School.

13 EARLY COLLEGE Shelby County Schools are partnering with JCTC to give our students more options to earn college credit. Some will be fully on JCTC’s campus. Transportation will be provided. Two courses provided as Introductory Courses (taught @ MLCHS) College Readiness Intro to Computers

14 AP VS. DC Advanced Placement Helps students earn college credit. Students earn credit in through the AP Exam (3-5) AP courses taught by our teachers Courses are open to any student Courses are free, but each exam costs $97 Textbooks are provided GPA is weighted Colleges choose which credit to give. Dual Credit Helps students earn college credit Students earn credit in DC through the coursework DC courses taught by our teachers and JCTC Faculty Courses are open to any student Courses cost $50 each for the first 6 hrs. per semester.
