1 9/3 What's one thing in this section of the story that has happened to you (or someone you know)? Explain with support from the story.

2 9/10 Relate the conflicts in the book to the conflicts in your own life. Would you follow the same path your character is taking to resolve the conflict? Explain your choice.

3 9/17 What is the most important thing that has happened in this section of your reading? Why do you think it is so important? How does it impact the story?

4 9/24 Reread the first paragraph of your novel. What made you want to read on? If not specific is present, why did you keep reading (not because “you had to”)? Look at the rest of the text as you read. How would you describe the style - what do you like/dislike about how it is written?
