10 Tips for Effective Searching  Narrow searches with as much detail as possible  Use AND to narrow your search results  Use OR when you want to broaden your search results EXAMPLE  Broad Topic: Adoption in United States  Narrow down topic: Open Adoption Policies in United States  Search Terms: Open and Adoption and United and States  Using the AND will results in items that deal specifically with all these terms not just one or two
