6. History Our school takes its name from Aşıkpaşa who served for Turkish language and wrote first Turkish pieces. Aşıkpaşa Primary School was opened with only 5 classes in 1963. And, in 1998 the number of the classes increased to 13. Our school is a public school.

9. Classes and Lessons: In our school, there are 13 classes. According to the policy of the The Ministry of National Education, Turkish, English, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Art, Music, Physical Education lessons are given. And, all these lessons have their own laboratories and classes.

10. Different Social and Cultural Activities are performed in our school. We have different successes in basketball. Espeacilly Star Girls Basketball Team of our school became the champion in Kırşehir and represented our city in group finals. In Kırşehir it is such an important event that our school and students who come from disadvantaged social, monetary background and fragmented families became the champion. Our little girls basketball team represented Kırşehir in Ankara, our capital city.

11. Student Profile: Our students consist of 6 and 15 ages. Kervansaray District, the place where our school is in, is one of the disadvantaged areas of Kırşehir.There are a lot of immigrants, socially and economically disadvantaged people and fragmented families. Even some of my students haven’t gone out of Kırşehir. Some students work at the weekends in order to help their families. There are a lot of intagrated students in our school.

12. There is no racial discrimination in our school. We (directors, teachers and support staff) always help and care handicapped and intagrated students.

13. Our city is near Cappadocia and its natural beauties.
