1. What do you do after school? I usually watch TV. I sometimes play with friends. What do you do on Fridays ? I always go to the mosque. I often visit my grandfather. What do you do in the holidays ? I usually go to the seaside. I never stay at home.

2. I like cartoons and wildlife programmes. I don’t like action films or sports. I like to watch TV but I don’t like to play computer games. I always go to church on Sundays. I usually go to England in the holidays.

3. Nihad Haddad sat quietly next to the window. She wanted to listen to songs on the radio. She loved music but her family was poor. They didn’t have a radio. The teachers at Nihad’s school heard her sing. She sang more beautifully than a bird. One day she sang on the radio. A new singing star was born.

4. Nihad Haddad was born in 1933 in Beirut,Lebanon. Later Nihad Haddad changed her name to Fairouz. Fairouz has travelled around the world. She has sung hundreds of songs. She has also performed in musical and films. She still sings more beautifully than a bird.

5. Hassan found a magic mirror. He saw around the world with it. Basim found a magic carpet. He flew around the world on it. Murad found a magic apricot. It helped ill people.

6. You all helped me but Hassan still has his mirror and Basim still has his carpet. I ate the apricot and Murad gave me all he had. I will marry Murad.

7. Monitor. You see pictures on it – it looks like a TV. Computer. I t does all the work. Keyboard. You use it to write with. Mouse. It moves an arrow on the screen. You point the arrow to choose things.

8. Two cats found some cheese. They argued. A monkey heard the cats. He offered to help them. The cats agreed. The monkey looked at the two pieces of cheese. The first piece was bigger than the second piece. The monkey ate some of the first piece.
