JLC Broadcasts

Get Set You need to ensure you have attended a minimum of 3 sessions before the end of November! You can book on to any 3 you like, so it can be personalised to you. You book these through Grapevine – there is a banner at the top of the homepage to take you to the booking system. Once you have collected your 3 stamps, fill in the evaluation page at the back with your comments on the sessions you have attended, and hand to your mentor once completed!

1:1’s We will contact you with an appointment time for a 1:1 – this could be through email or text. You will have a minimum of 1 per term, and it is part of the conditions of you being at this college! If you need more than 1 per term, we will tailor our service to your needs. These 1:1’s are designed to help you – we will discuss what you want to discuss.

ILP In your 1:1, we will be going through your Individual Learning Plan. This helps us to get to know you a bit better, and tailor our support to you. You need to ensure that you have filled this in – you do this on your ProPortal page, and we will review this in your 1:1. Your teachers will use this to write your references – so it needs to be up to date!

Text a Mentor Remember, we have a text service available. If you need to contact us, you can text us on: 07805 930 913 and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Put your mentor’s name at the beginning of your message, and your name at the end! i.e. Dan what time is our 1:1? Sharon Vessey

Halloween Hunt Our next Mentor Mix Challenge is running all of this week, and you have to find the 10 Halloween-themed items around college. You can collect and hand in your sheets at lunchtime in The ARC. Once you have completed the hunt, you will receive a Get Set stamp. Prizes to be won!
