End-of-Year Assessments  READY EOG Assessments (Paper-and-Pencil) – Grades 3–8 Math and ELA  READY EOG Assessments (Online) – Grades 5 and 8 Science  READY EOC Assessments (Online) – Algebra I/Integrated I Sample forms of the new READY End of Course (EOC) assessments for Algebra/Integrated I and the new READY End of Grade (EOG) assessments are available on the Department of Public Instruction website.

Course 1 is a high school course  Students take both EOG and EOC  EOC counts as 25% of final grade  Students may not be dropped after 20 school days (September 16, 2015)  Students normally follow-up with Math II Regular or Math II Honors  Must follow attendance guidelines of high school

High School Attendance Guidelines  Cannot miss more than 5 days per semester or 10 days for the year  Must be in class at least 45 minutes to get credit for that day  Try not to schedule regular appointments such as orthodontist visits during Math I class

About Core Plus  Development of mathematics as an active science of patterns involving quantity and change, shape and motion, data and chance, and counting and algorithms  Courses organized around interwoven strands of ○ algebra and functions ○ geometry and trigonometry ○ statistics and probability ○ discrete mathematics  Mathematical strands developed in coherent, focused units connected by fundamental unifying ideas  Mathematics developed in context with an emphasis on applications and mathematical modeling  Student-centered investigations promote active learning through problem solving

Parent should never force a student to come or it will be a waste of my time and theirs.  See me for information about private tutors.

Remind 101 Text and Email Alerts  I send out alerts periodically to remind students of important upcoming events (Open House, announced quizzes, tests, deadlines, school picture day, etc.).  You can subscribe to receive the alerts (specific for each period).  It is completely safe. I never see your number. It is all processed through Remind101.  You can cancel at any time.  Instructions are posted on my teacher website.
