7. eurasia rail 2016 Plastotect 1 Plastoform 2 All around the train The use of Plastotect, a flexible foam sheet with an aluminium foil or a carbon fibre lamination, ensures an excellent heat absorption. Due to special surface modifications this foam made from melamine resin is impermeable to gas and water vapor and acts as a reliable diffusion barrier even at high temperature differences. The aluminium foil or carbon fibre lamination reduces the risk of liquid ingress (condensation water) and its absorption into the insulation material. 2 2 1
