4 Coaching Objective is to implement the delivery of the Bowls NZ coaching plan Establish relationships with Coaching Associations in each Centre Increase the number of qualified coaches by supporting Centres to deliver coach training 4

5 Coaching Push for Coach led representatives sides Monitor and improve the collection of data on coaches and coaching courses held in the region The objective of the RCDT is to implement and drive the regional delivery of the Bowls NZ Coaching Plan Increase number of qualified coaches by supporting Centres to deliver coach training 10/06/20165

6 Coaching -RCDT Recruit Introductory and Bowls NZ Coaches. Systems are in place to record targets met for number of courses, participants, number of new coach candidates. Ensure systems are in place to record number of accredited coaches, and retention rate for new coaches. 10/06/20166

7 Umpiring Regional Umpires Development Team appointed(RUDT) Objective is to implement the regional delivery of the Bowls N Z Technical Officials Plan (Vision for Umpires) that sets out the pathway for Umpires. Establish relationships with Umpires Associations in each Centre. Increase number of qualified measurers and umpires by supporting Centres to deliver training and umpire courses..7

8 Umpiring Ensure competent tutors are in place across the region. Monitor and improve the collection of data on umpires and training courses held in each Centre. 10/06/20168

9 Youth Bowls Objective is to implement the regional delivery of the Bowls NZ Youth plan. Establish relationships with Youth Committees and Co-ordinators in each Centre. Increase the number of qualified youth friendly coaches. Encourage the uptake of Squad6 and the number of School / Club links. 9

10 Monitor and improve the collection of data on youth bowlers in the Southern Region Know how many youth are playing the sport. Improved co-ordination of youth events and increase the number of participants. 10/06/201610 Youth Bowls

11 Regional Green Keeping Development Team- RGDT Team members have a liaison roles with Centres Set up a database of greenkeepers, their qualifications and greens across the Region Coordinate field days and increase participation by greenkeepers and clubs at field days. Overall goal is to improve the playing surfaces of greens across the region. 11 Greenkeeping

12 Regional Greenkeepers DT – The objective of the RGDT is to implement and drive the regional delivery of the Bowls NZ Greenkeepers plan. –Establish relationships with Green Keepers Associations in each Centres. –Ensure systems are in place to record details of the greens, the Greenkeepers and field days attended by every greenkeeper. 10/06/201612

13 RGDT Arrange Greenkeeping training courses and the field day event programmes in conjuction NZSTI. Gather data on the number of greens within the region meeting the BNZ evaluation rating. Keep register of greenkeepers, their training and qualifications. NZSTI personnel are working closely with our team and attending meetings. 10/06/201613

14 RGDT Goal to improve green surfaces to enable participants to enjoy their sport. Provide a limited advisory service to volunteer greens staff. SR greens evaluations are now underway Encourage greens staff at turf seminars. 10/06/201614

15 Ensure that Regional and Centre events are well co-ordinated and administered. Regional events include: National Interclub – 2012 Christchurch, Dunedin & North Otago. National Intercentre – 2012 Greymouth, Invercargill & Alexandra. National Club Championships -singles, pairs, triples, fours, mixed pairs - 2012 Blenheim and Oamaru 15 Bowls NZ Competitions

16 Two annual forums per year targeted at Centre participation – Speakers will be from the Coaching, Green keeping and Umpires Development Teams. The venue will be Dunedin in late May 2012. Specific forums and workshops for the above groups. 16 General Role
