2 Vainglorious Adjective ◦1. filled with or given to vainglory: a vainglorious actor. ◦2. characterized by, showing, or proceeding from vainglory: a vainglorious estimate of one's ability. Synonyms: arrogant, cocky, conceited Sentence: His vainglorious attitude annoyed the team, he always wanted to be the center of attention!

3 Idiosyncratic Adjective ◦a characteristic, habit, mannerism, or the like, that is peculiar to an individual. Synonyms: quirky, distinctive Sentence: Her idiosyncratic habits concerned her mother, she always had to walk in her room backwards and do ten push-ups before going to bed.

4 Multifarious Adjective ◦1. having many different parts, elements, forms, etc. ◦2. numerous and varied; greatly diverse or manifold: multifarious activities. Synonyms: assorted, manifold, numerous Sentence: The students quailed at the multifarious elements of the research paper, they had to complete a rough draft of at least five pages, include secondary and primary sources, and complete an annotated bibliography in one week.

5 Denizens Noun ◦1. an inhabitant; resident. ◦2. a person who regularly frequents a place Synonyms: inhabitant, citizen Sentence: The denizens of the local restaurant were very territorial of their special booth.

6 Propensity Noun ◦ a natural inclination or tendency Synonyms: capacity, disposition Sentence: Ralph has the propensity to over exaggerate his stories, no one ever believes what he has to say.

7 Incongruous Adjective ◦ 1. out of keeping or place; inappropriate; unbecoming: an incongruous effect; incongruous behavior. ◦2. not harmonious in character; inconsonant; lacking harmony of parts ◦3. inconsistent Synonyms: contradictory, conflicting, discordant Sentence: The actions of the religious sect were incongruous with their professed principles.

8 Disinterred Verb ◦1. to take out of the place of interment; exhume; unearth. ◦2. to bring from obscurity into view. Synonyms: expose Sentence: : The actor's autobiography disinterred a past era.

9 Imperious Adjective ◦1. domineering in a haughty manner; dictatorial; overbearing: an imperious manner; an imperious person. ◦2. urgent; imperative: imperious need. Synonyms: arrogant, tyrannical Sentence: The King’s imperious command was very forthright, he made it clear that he wanted the servants to clean the palace immediately.

Obsolete. the act of averting; a turning away or preventing. Synonyms: dissatisfaction, abhorrence Sentence: I have a strong aversion to snakes and bugs, I cringe at the sight of them.
