Born: Romania in 1928 He was deported to a concentration camp during the Holocaust 1944 he and his family were sent to Auschwitz where his mother and sister died He and his father were then moved to Buchenwald where his father died He and his two older sisters survived the concentration camps Wiesel went on to write about his experiences in Night, Dawn, and The Accident
