6 Summer Courses *Summer course offerings may be limited.* What is it? Students attend two workshops per day, and they have access to all of the university’s extensive facilities, resources, and libraries. Workshops can be either demonstrations, lectures, studio work, and local field trips. All courses are taught by either a SCAD professor, or select SCAD graduate student. Seminars: -Fashion -Photography -Printmaking -Painting -Print Design -Character Design -Elective Workshops

11 Information  About 10,500 students  700 professors  Most students live off-campus.  In Savannah, there are 11 buildings that provide student housing and range from one-person to three-person, single- room residence halls or to four-bedroom student apartments.  The university is divided into eight schools.  They require focus on three areas:  foundation studies (art fundamentals: drawing, color theory and design)  liberal arts (math, science, art history and English)  and their major area of discipline (a specific course of study such as graphic design, sequential art or animation)

12 Questions To Ask  Does the university provide you with any materials for you to keep?  How’s the security? (You’re parents might worry…)  Ask any details if you’re planning on living there. (Wifi, cafeteria, library, etc)  How’s the city/town?  How hard is it to get into the courses you want to take?  How many hours a week do you spend on schoolwork?  What are the most popular student activities?  Are there supermarkets and other stores that sell necessities within walking distance?
