5 There were 0 Robberies reported last week. BRIC Notes: There have been two recent car-jackings involving taxi’s in the City of Boston. In both of these incidents, a BM was picked up by the taxi driver in Somerville, and taken to Boston. The suspect in both cases robbed the taxi driver at knifepoint and then forced the driver to exit the taxi. Both of the taxi’s were recovered in District B2. The first incident occurred on 6/23/15 at around 2:20 PM. The suspect was picked up in Teele Square at around 1:50 PM, and asked to go to Seaver St in Roxbury. The victim was robbed when they reached Elbert St. The MV was later recovered on Dacia St. The second robbery occurred on 6/28/15 at 12:30 PM. The suspect was picked up in Davis Square at around 12:00 PM, and asked to travel to 1855 Washington St. When they reached 801 Tremont St, the suspect robbed the BM at knifepoint and stole the taxi. The taxi was later recovered on Cedar St. The suspect has been described as a BM around 28-29 YOA, and about 5’10”. Both of the taxi’s were green & white cabs. Robbery

6 There were 4 Assaults reported last week Alton Pl: On 6/23 at 747hrs, the victim had a meeting with his boss & suspect. The suspect wanted to discuss victim’s recent absence from work. The meeting soon became adversarial and the victim decided that he didn’t need the job anymore and left. The victim walked out to his car where the suspect ended up assaulting him. The suspect grabbed Vic by the throat and slammed him down onto the hood on the car. SP then squeezed Vic’s throat with both hands. SP eventually let go of his throat. SP was arrested. Harvard St: On 6/26 at 1933hrs, the victim, was walking through the Centre Street Walk when SP came behind her and poured a substance over her head and clothing. Officers believe the substance as liquid excrement. SP is described very light-skinned Hispanic male in his 30s, approximately 5’-05” in height, thin build and dark black hair that was either slicked back or pulled back in a pony tail. Assault

8 There were 5 Burglaries and 1 Attempt reported last week. Heath St (ATTEMPT): On Tuesday 6/23 between 1245 and 1430hrs, the suspect entered the residence through the backdoor which was left unlocked. The victim noticed that the front window was open and the screen was removed. Her purse was also laying on the couch with her credit cards and cash scattered on the couch. The victim believes she interrupted the suspect during the burglary and the suspect was unable to steal any items. Alton Pl: On Tuesday 6/23 between 1400 and 1800hrs, the suspect managed to enter the residence through the side door which was left unlocked. Additionally, the suspect had cut the side door screen. The suspect rummaged through the apartment and stole a laptop along with miscellaneous jewelry. Tappan St: On Tuesday 6/23 between 0900 and 1700hrs, the suspect entered the residence through a side window that looks out onto a common footpath. The suspect went through all the bedrooms and stole a TV, camera, ring and a phone. Beacon St: Overnight on 6/24, the suspect managed to gain entry into the office through a window between 1945hrs and 650hrs the following day. Additionally, the suspect managed to force open a lockbox. The suspect stole checks, a speaker, and cash. SP also stole 4 laptops and a backpack. Burglary

9 There were 5 Burglaries and 1 Attempt reported last week. Naples Rd: Between 6/22 and 6/26, while the victim was on vacation, her residence was broken into. The suspect was able to gain entry by an unlocked ground level window. The suspect forced both the screen and glass window open and was able to climb up to the master bedroom. The suspect stole a laptop and the victim’s purse. The suspect exited through the rear stairwell. Pleasant St: Between 6/21 and 6/27, the victim had her house broken into while she was on vacation. When the victim returned on 6/27 at 1700hrs, she noticed that the rear porch window leading to her bedroom was open with the screen pulled up. Additionally, they noticed that the rear porch door was open. Officers believe the suspect broke in sometime between 6/25 and 6/27. The suspect stole a camera and several camera lenses. Burglary

12 Bike Theft There were 4 Bikes reported stolen last week. 2015-3217: On Monday 6/22 at 1330hrs, the bait bike affixed to a tree and had detected movement and was traveling northbound on Brookline Ave. Officers were able to locate the suspect riding the bike by Parkway Rd and stopped SP. SP was identified. SP was arrested and brought into questioning. The suspect noticed the bike locked to the tree. He proceeded to cut the lock off the tree and replace the bait bike with his. His plan was to take the stolen bike home and retrieve his afterwards. However, it turns out that the bike he was also riding was stolen (see C#2015-3221). 16 Special Attention & Noteworthy Incidents Drug Use: 2015-3280: On 6/26 at 1114hrs, Officers responded a medical emergency. The victim, was under the influence of narcotic drugs but declined medical attention the victim was transported. Indecent Assault & Battery: 2015-3296: On 6/27 at 0019hrs, The victim was walking home from Cleveland Circle when the suspect ran up to her and reached up her dress and touched her. The suspect proceeded to run away afterwards. The suspect is described as a 5’10”-6’ male in his mid 20s with dark medium length hair. He also had thick eye brows and sharp facial features. The suspect was last seen running inbound on Beacon St towards Strathmore Rd.

The time of day with the greatest number of crashes is between 1600 and 1800hrs, which coincides with the commute home after work. The time of day with the second greatest number of crashes is between 700 and 900hrs, which coincides with the commute to work.
