7 CTE State Funding Funding formula returns to formula similar to that used in FY09. *Opportunity grant using a per pupil amount of $5,745 in FY14 and $5,800 in FY15

8 CTE Funding Supplemental CTE funding moves from: –Two to five categories –Weights to amounts Lead district receives for each CTE FTE $225 in FY14 and $227 in FY15 for associated services

22 Effective October 1, 2013 20% retained by sending districts of non-JVSDs CTPDs is out the bill

23 Community Schools and STEM Schools Community schools and STEM schools that serve grades seven and up must be assigned to a CTPD by ODE.

24 Community Schools and STEM Schools A community school student can participate in any programming of the CTPD to which the resident district belongs. E-schools now qualify for CTE funding, if approved.

25 Program Approval Process Lead district must approve or disapprove by March 1 prior to FY for which it will be funded Decision can be appealed to ODE by March 15

26 Approval Process ODE must review all approval decisions and appeals by May 15. Decision by ODE is final and not appealable.

27 CTE Funding Expenditures & Data Reporting 25% unrestricted (C-T salaries ok) 75% according to Auditor’s Bulletin 2000 -16
