Guidance covers a range of individual and collective activities relating to information-giving, counselling, competence assessment, support and the teaching of decision-making and career management skills.

7 zsofia.lux@szmm.gov.hu Reasons of mismatch between LM demand and labour force supply: occupations in shortage, in excess, popular and obsolete lack of information (training and LM) choices of career are groundless low education level and/or lack of qualification, low level of socialisation, lack of competences regional/territorial differences, low mobility Need to raise number of guidance practitioners, develop methodology Clearly good careers guidance is costly, but the costs of poor career choices are much greater.
