4 Is eLearning @ CPCC Right For You Word Processing The ability to create, format, and save a document in a word processing software is very important for an online course because much of the course work is submitted electronically. Documents created in one word processing software may not be compatible with another type of software, so you also may need to save your document as another file type. Computer Skills

Most of the PCs being sold today have a Microsoft operating system already installed such as Windows 2000 or Windows XP unless you are using a Macintosh computer. This will take a screen shot of the selected window not the entire screen like the normal screen shot function. It is then placed in the clipboard, which is an invisible holding area for content that is copied. Now you can paste the screen shot into your Word document.
