Many such lakes are available on the Western plateau in Western Australia, however largest of them are in South Australia: lakes Eyre, Torrens, Gerdner and From. Along southeast coast of Australia numerous lagoons with the saltish or salty water, cut off from the sea sandy shallows and ridges are developed.
