7 Early detection?  detected early stage treatment more effective  breast cancer, cervical cancer, bowel cancer, prostate cancer.  know your own body. notice any changes, see your doctor.

8 Why is prevention so important  1/9 cancers, 1/5 cancer deaths, are due to smoking  3% of cancers are related to alcohol  direct result of dietary influences, from infectious agents or exposure to radiation  some cancers result from inherited genes  cancer is NOT caused by injury or stress.
