1 Plymouth Rock can be visited as a tradition of where it is believed these settlers first set foot in the New World.

2 What started the voyage? The King of England started his own church called the Church of England from the Roman Catholics. These people became known as Protestants. Protestants that only followed the ways of the Church of England were called Puritans Pilgrim is a word for someone journeying to another land.

3 Who and When? William Bradford was the leader of the colony. In 1620, Pilgrims decided to take the Mayflower and settle in the USA

4 Sailed From Plymouth, England

5 Sailed to Plymouth, Massachusetts HMMM. How did that happen?

6 Hardships Trying create a religion community. Many died because they did not know how to crop the land. Native Americans helped teach the Puritans how to survive.

7 Thanks! October 1621, The Pilgrims invited the Native Americans to a 3 day feast to thank them for helping them make it through a difficult year.
