3 Teams & Players Team lists will be emailed to all coaches & managers as soon as finalised, any team additions, new team list will be sent – Player contacts are only provided to coaches & Mgrs Please check contact details of players & agree your teams preferred contact method, phone, team facebook page etc Team Officials contact details will be posted on our website – pls check we have your correct email & contact number

4 SEASON DRAW The season draw will not be available until approx 1-2 weeks prior to kick off I will send a hard copy of “initial draw” to team officials Please review for any obvious errors - ie playing same time two locations !! Note that some 6-9 age groups may have two games same day to avoid bye rounds due to uneven team numbers Get used to checking on line draws regularly for first few weeks of competition due to team changes etc FMNC website, Link via Old Bar Website, Fox sport Pulse App recommended I will not send our further hardcopies of team draws When notified I will send notification to team officials to check updated draws via Email & Facebook

5 Behaviour Code of Conducts are available for all players, team officials, committee & spectators. A copy is in your manual & these will be on display at our fields this season As a team official you have a responsibility to ensure your team including players, parents & officials adhere to this policy If you have concerns over ongoing behaviour of any of the above these should be brought to the attention of the Barbarians committee Ground officials should be present at all fields & if you have behavioural concerns on or off field these should be brought to the attention of that official Avoid confrontations – report to our committee (this was done in 2014 with one opposition team) If warnings do not rectify behaviour then player suspension of expulsion will be considered

6 Match Fees Match fees are paid not only to cover the costs of referees whare provided but also assist with the operation of our club. Provision of uniforms, training gear, presentation awards & facilities improvements. No profit is made from registrations Fees must be collected weekly by team coach or Manager Player payments must be fully recorded (these are reconciled weekly by our treasurer Referees fees are not paid for by teams from match fees – All referees are to be paid from the canteen It is the responsibility of the home team to pay referees (remember this if you are the home team playing away from Old Bar at a neutral venue) Please ensure all match fee envelopes are returned to the canteen after your match & next time you are playing at home if you are playing away that round. 6-7 years$1 8-9 years$3 10-11 years$4 12-18 years$5 Please remember that for 6-11 yrs No Official Match Sheets are recorded. In the event of injury these match fee sheets may be required for proof of participation

8 Competition Team Sheets Competitive Age Groups Only 12-18 years It is the responsibility of the home team to supply match sheet Details MUST Be recorded prior to the match for : Age Group, Date, Round, Ground Location Player Surname & Initials Player FFA number IN FULL (not last 4 numbers) Team Officials Only record players participating on that day After the match Check results is correct Check any red / yellow cards are correct ANY injuries or incidents ensure referee has recorded on sheet Only sign if details are correct You can pre fill in match sheet with player names & FFA numbers on your PC for home games – Ron can supply soft copy Any players listed that do not play or start must be removed / crossed off sheet. Starting 11 must be recorded on sheet correctly

9 General Information PLAYING SHIRTS Most teams set up a roster for washing of shirts weekly Please do not issue shirts to players & allow them to take home weekly – too often they are worn during the week Please make everyone aware DO NOT IRON shirts Warm up Barbarians Sponsor shirts please request players wear these too & from games & any official club functions – they are an important message we are sending to all of our valuable sponsors If a shirt is lost, please try & trace back to last player wearing it, if it cannot be found please inform John Mountney immediately Shirts must not be worn for any other games (such as school comps) without permission from committee We will endeavour to have training sponsor shirts available for all teams by first game of season – will keep informed of progress.

10 General Information CLUB COMMUNICATIONS Please ensure we have your correct contact details These will be displayed on our club website – check no silent numbers etc General communications, draw changes etc Club will email to all Coaches & Mgrs & place on Facebook. Check emails / FB before for communications before 3pm Fridays Any changes after 3pm Friday I will call or text to notify of changes (or to check email / FB) You then need to communicate with your teams All external communications, complaints, queries to FMNC or other clubs must come through club secretary WET WEATHER Training / Old Bar Ground Closures – Facebook & website will be updated (there is a GTCC website age listing closures & you can receive email updates) Game Day – Home ground will be posted on website & FB. Away games, listen to Max FM / 2RE. Check FMNC website

11 General Information WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK All club volunteers will be required to undergo a working with children check, if you have completed previously you need to supply / resupply details to club so they can be logged into WWC website Link available on website – free of charge INJURIES Your resource folder will contain injury reporting forms Please complete a form for all injuries, especially if there is any reason to believe the injury may require treatment by a doctor now or at a later date Injuries must be recorded on match sheets (competitive teams only) Completed injury report forms must be returned to the Incident manual (Red Folder) in canteen for future reference Any player that requires insurance information must contact Club Secretary for insurance information forms – these must be filled in by player, club & treating doctor prior to submission Insurance claims must be made or reported to insurer within a certain time period Players must contact club, we do not follow up every single injury report form

12 General Information INJURIES continued If a player is injured : You must wait until referee gives permission to enter field Scream at ref if required to get attention Seek advice from parents / carers for their children as to calling of ambulance etc Do not attempt to move (or allow others) to move the player if they are in extreme pain or can not move themselves ie provide assistance – you should not need top carry or drag a player from the field Game stoppage time is the least concern anyone should have We have a first aid kit in the canteen We have a defibulator in the canteen

13 General Information GROUND SET UP Ground set up is the responsibility of the team using that field first on any Saturday. Last teams to play must pack up nets, posts etc Please arrange one or two (for main fields) for ground set up & have them at fields approx 45 mins before play Committee / volunteers will be on hand to assist but it should be teams responsible for each field Ron will send a reminder to set up teams each week CANTEEN Sheila Gibbin is our canteen coordinator for 2015 A roster will be distributed & your team will be asked to man the BBQ & Canteen on at least 1-2 occasions during the season. 3 people are required at all times – unfortunately no juniors under 14 years allowed to serve in canteen You will need to roster parents / family & friends to assist A club committee member will be rostered on to supervise & assist each week, they are also responsible for Ground Steward The canteen is a key source of funding for our club & everyone’s support is vital to keeping fees down

14 General Information WASH OUTS Washed out games are generally played the following Sunday (+ 8 days) unless otherwise advised Generally all age groups including non competitive are replayed – particularly early in season Girls combined comp with Port Macquarie is yet to be advised If your team is unable to play (for whatever reason) you must forfeit the replay – only exceptions are for teams with high numbers of rep players. If you need to forfeit please notify me early in the week to advise opposition teams & referees in advance – otherwise fines $$$$ FUNDRAISING Club Old Bar have again provided 4 Friday & Sunday night raffles throughout the year. These will be targeted at certain age groups for each raffle to allow ages to focus on maximum participation for each event (kids disco etc) It is extremely important to our ongoing sponsorship that we support Club Old Bar for these events Unfortunately it is again up to Coaches & Managers to push & follow up teams for their participation

15 General Information AGE GROUPS NO junior player under 15 years of age can play in a senior competition Junior players are allowed to play up to assist with player numbers during the season If a competitive age player plays more than 3 games in a higher age group they must then stay in that age group Players playing in a higher age group on a temporary basis must have their correct age group noted on match sheet. SSF (small sided football) or miniroos is non competitive & many teams will share players if required – its all about having fun. Field time should be shared evenly amongst all non competitive junior players FUNDRAISING Club Old Bar have again provided 4 Friday & Sunday night raffles throughout the year. 16 General Information JEWELLERY With the exception of medi alert bracelets NO JEWELLERY is to be worn on the field Taping of Socks – Tape MUST match the colour of your socks where it is being applied – ie only buy red tape !! Skins – compression underwear – if they are visible underneath club uniform they must be in predominant the colour of uniform – Blue shorts GENERAL SAFETY Please walk over field prior to play during warm up (home & away games) to check for any dangerous items (Glass/needles etc) or large holes. Report to referee or ground official any concerns Spectators must stay off & back from field during play Ground Officials – All clubs are expected to have a Ground Official on duty during all matches If you have concerns with behaviour of spectators etc it should be brought to the attention of ground official Referees will use ground officials to control / address any issues with non players or team officials
