Loan 2474-PRC: Dryland Sustainable Agriculture Project i.Contract farming arrangement: establish partnership between private agro-enterprises and farmers to strengthen farm productivity. ii.Enhance support services to farmers. 2. Loan 2738-PRC: Qinghai Rural Water Resources Management Project i.Improve irrigation infrastructure and efficiency; ii.Train farmers on climate change adaptation; and iii.Prepare a comprehensive institutional framework and implementation plan to promote participatory irrigation management and empower water user associations and farmer associations. 3. Loan 2943-PRC: Comprehensive Agricultural Development Project i.Improve irrigation and drainage infrastructure, introduce water-saving irrigation technologies; ii.Establish farmer professional associations, support leader farmers through competition process to take charge of operation and O/M of project facilities; and iii.Introduce better farming practices, such as soil testing, balanced fertilizer application, and returning crop residue to farmland.

TA-8157 PRC: Logistics System Development for Agricultural Products i.Outline key elements of cold chain logistics standards for selected perishable agricultural products and ways to harmonize existing standards in the PRC; and ii.Recommend national policies to promote development and growth of cold chain logistics industry.
