2 The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV) 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

3 Acts 1:8 (NKJV) 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

6 A Greek-Hebrew dictionary describes the word power in the original Greek “Dunamis” as “miraculous power” (usually by implication, a miracle itself) The Greek word for authority, “Exousia”, is defined as “privilege, superhuman, token of control, delegated influence or authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right.”

7 These famous last words before Jesus ascended are important as they revealed 3 things to us. 1.It revealed the restored power and authority that we are intended to live in. 2.It revealed the purpose of our roles and responsibilities in this world. 3.It revealed the God’s original plan for fellowship with His creation.
