It was 1907. The cinema was born more than ten years before. And for the first time on a screen an animated film was shown. A real revolution for the time. The first animated film of history was called Fantasmagorie and it was made by the French Emile Cohl, the father of the cartoons. Since then 100 years have passed and animated films have changed considerably. The history of the cartoons in the past century has seen many players. In 1917 there was the Felix Cat mania. Then the turning point of 1928, when Walt Disney brought for the first time in the world the face of Mickey Mouse....

The animated cartoons (Disney and not) There are many orphans in the world of Disney : Dumbo, Bambi, Mowgli, Peter Pan, Tarzan, Snow White and Cinderella. In Walt Disney’s cartoons, the parents are almost always absent, because he wanted to put the children alone in front of the world, ready for the journey of life without their support to gain their autonomy. Disney in front of evil and t failure, wants to look ahead, underlining the law of "you learn from your mistakes”. This is a very real thing but it is also very difficult to keep in mind when you're alone and young.

Making a comparison with the Simpsons, we can say that Simpsons are the most absurd, incorrect family, full of defects (and perhaps for this the most credible one) of the world, which shows the defects and weaknesses with no censorship. The adventures of the Simpsons are fundamentally the little problems of every family. The society that they represent is nothing else than everyday life with its problems...even if they use very strange methods to solve them.. Walt Disney’s mistake, is a wrong conception of life : in front of evil you are alone. But according to the Simpsons you aren’t alone, you are with your family (even if it’s strange).

Who is Walt Disney? Walt Disney was a cartoonist, a manager and a film-maker. He was also a brillant producer and scriptwriter. Walt Disney founded Disneyland, the first and most famous amusement park. He and his staff created a number of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice.

Matt Groening is an American cartoonist, screenwriter and producer. Groening became famous with a cartoon family,The Simpsons, and called the members of this family like his parents and his sisters. Instead Bart is an anagram of the word «brat». Who is the father of Simpson?

Children and cartoons It's never boring to watch a cartoon. Children, spend hours watching TV, never losing focus. The cartoons stimulate their imagination because they tell fairytales, full of fairies, goblins, wizards and magic, adventure stories that allow them to get there, where only imagination can get. With cartoons children can live through their favorite characters and their dreams. For this reason cartoons are essential for their growth. The lessons that cartoons can teach are a lot: they make children achieve the important things in life, perhaps better than their parents, because a cartoon character always knows the right way to do it!

The most popular cartoons of children Winnie The Pooh, the charm teddy bear that always makes people smile. The Smurfs, little friends really nice, colored blue, small but with a big heart and a lot of generosity. Popeye with his beautiful Olivia. Asterix and Obelix : thanks to their magic potion they can be very powerful and unbeatable. Tom and Jerry: The most popular mouse of children, able to resist a silly cat.

Negative subliminal messages in cartoons. Legend or reality? Subliminal messages are written or visual marks that the brain unconsciously assimilates. Some believe that these negative messages are present in some famous cartoon characters to influence people's minds. According to others these messages would have no psychological implication and would be explained in terms of jokes or fun from the authors.

And today? What are cartoons like? Today the special effects predominate over everything else. What is the future of animated cartoons going to be like? Maybe there will be a return to the origin... evolution of cartoons
