3. We are keeping in contact with parents/Guardians through texting and the company that are providing us with the software to do this are called Text Solutions. There are many advantages of using SMS messaging: Texting

4. It is cheap. Almost all parents have a mobile so it is instant access. Easy to use. Efficient Service. We have had this up and running since March last year and it is proving to be a very successful way of keeping in touch with parents. Texting Advantages

5. Our new website is up and running. It is proving to be an excellent form of communicating with parents as calendars and daily updates about what is going on and has gone on in the school allow parents to keep updated and feel part of everyday school life. There is also a guestbook section in which members can login and keep in contact with one another. Website

6. The website is in its early stages but it seems to be a great way of keeping parents updated and informed about everyday activities and up and coming events. It has the added bonus that they can do this in the comfort of their own home. Website

7. Our Parent and Staff Association meet at regular intervals to discuss school matters. The meeting is very beneficial for all involved as the school can discuss matters and ensure parents are onboard at all stages. Again this is another method of communicating with parents and getting them involved that we feel is very valuable and will continue to progress. P.S.A

8. Offering Parent support through counselling is another method of communication and support we were looking to implement. At the minute it is work in progress, but we are pursuing it as we feel this is extremely important in ensuring are parents feel supported and part of the school community. Counselling

We recognise the need to communicate with parents on an individual basis and we feel we are making good progress as we have the following set up which allow for individual communication between parents and staff: 1.Annual Review Meetings 2.Coffee Mornings 3.Sports Days 4.Nursery Dads Group/ Individual Communication

10. We feel since joining the Comenius project we have made good progress in ensuring parents are partners in the school and we have done this by increasing the methods of communication we use and we will continue to work on all of the SMART Targets that we have agreed on. Overview
